First Birthday Cake Smash for Baby Boy | Las Vegas Cake Smash Photographer

Leo is ONE! We celebrated this big milestone with a fun cake smash here in my Las Vegas studio. We planned two different setups and tub time for this cute little guy to celebrate his first birthday. First birthday cake smash sessions are a great time to capture playful portraits of your little one, as well as more traditional milestone portraits (without the cake!). I always have so much fun watching the little ones play in the studio and Leo was no exception!

First Birthday Cake Smash

One of my favorite parts of Leo’s session was getting to use two new backgrounds! He looked super cute in front of the nautical background and I love the outfit his mom brought for him! It wound up working perfectly with the blues and reds of the backdrop!! He loved exploring my setup and playing with some of the rope props I had out. Such a sweetheart! After his more traditional milestone portraits, it was time to move to our second setup with the cake!!

I absolutely LOVED this setup!! Black and gold is such a classic color combination. With a simple white cake and the most adorable outfit (great choice again, mom!!), Leo had fun trying out the icing! After spending some time with his cake, it was time for his tub play to end the session. Who doesn’t love a little baby in a tub?! Leo loved playing with the rubber ducks!
