Sweet Riley is ONE! To celebrate her birthday, we had a super chic cake smash in the studio. Filled with ivory, pinks, and all things rose, Riley’s cake smash setup is one of my favorites!!! With the help of her mom, we created this awesome look. I prepared the backdrop for when Riley arrived – and once she did, I knew we were going to have a great time. This little girl was super smiley and happy for our entire session! She made my job really easy!!!!

Rose Cake Smash

I absolutely love cake smashes!! They’re such a fun time for babies and parents. I always start cake smash sessions with some traditional milestone portraits… no cake! This is a great chance to just capture some portraits of your little one in the outfit you carefully planned and brought or use one from my client wardrobe. For Riley, her mom put together the sweetest vintage inspired outfit – complete with a rose headband and some pearls! After a few portraits have been captured, it’s time for the cake!!! Riley had a delicious pink cake that looked like a giant cupcake. She dove RIGHT in! I love the photos I got of her enjoying that cake. Some babies just go for it – others don’t. Whatever happens, it will be adorable because it’s YOUR little one celebrating!!
