Studio v. On Location Maternity Session | NV Maternity Photographer
Maternity sessions are such a wonderful milestone for a family! They’re a chance to celebrate the journey of your pregnancy and your family’s newest addition. Plus, who doesn’t want to dress up in a beautiful gown and feel beautiful (even if your feet are swelling a little bit!)? One of the best parts of my business is that I am able to offer two types of maternity sessions to my clients: in studio and on location. This means no matter the weather or time of year, we will be able to capture this precious occasion for your family! I encourage clients to book maternity sessions between 28 and 34 weeks, but I’m often asked which kind of maternity session they should choose. So, today I’m breaking down the differences between my in studio and on location maternity sessions!
Studio Mini Maternity Sessions
Mini maternity sessions are the ones that take place in my studio. There are 3 available packages that start with 1 gown for 10 mins and go all the way up to one hour and 3 gowns. (any additional gowns are $25 each). Minis can only take place in the studio and the backdrop options include a light or dark grey backdrop. Black and white backdrops are also available. Being in the studio, I am able to do some incredible shots like silhouettes, which can be a lot of fun! These sessions tend to be much more minimal and straightforward, but they’re very classic. I do not do additional setups for maternity sessions in the studio – simply you, that gorgeous bump, and some gowns! Family members are definitely okay, too.
On Location Maternity Sessions
On location maternity sessions can occur at a variety of locations in the Las Vegas, NV area. I have a great list of incredible venues we can meet at. These sessions are an hour long and price varies from $350 – $650. During these sessions, you can use up to 3 of my maternity gowns. One of the biggest benefits of an on location maternity session is being able to have a variety of backgrounds and poses at our location choice. This helps give your gallery more excitement! Additionally, you are welcome to use one of my two couches (as long as your location allows me to use it) for an additional $50 if you’re interested. This is yet another fun way to make your portraits pop!
