Blue and Ivory Newborn Portraits

One of the best parts about being a newborn photographer is obviously getting to see and cuddle so many adorable babies! Mason was no exception. His newborn portraits were a lot of fun because he was great little baby for me! Sometimes it’s hard to know if a baby is going to be cooperative and sleep during their session or not, but Mason was a champ! By sleeping right until the end, he was easy to pose which means we got so many of the portraits we wanted. I love when my job is that easy!

Mason was born a few weeks early and was about 3 weeks old at the time of our session. This is a little bit older than newborn sessions are recommended normally. We chose a neutral boy inspired theme for Mason’s session, using lots of blues, gray, and ivory. I was able to use some of my adorable hats from Heartstrings by Susi and a super cute baseball prop set for this little guy! One of the reasons I enjoy working from my studio is being able to access all of my hats, wraps, props, and beds to make your newborn’s portraits come to life.

The funniest part was definitely the end of Mason’s session! He decided he was done nailing his posing and pooped on his mom!! Every time we thought he was done, he did it again!!! That was the only time he opened up his eyes for us – which you’ll see in the end portrait. It was SO funny!! I promise you parents, I’ve seen it all. So don’t worry if your session doesn’t seem to be going perfectly. I can guarantee I’ve seen worse! I am so happy to be sharing these newborn portraits with you – enjoy!
